It doesn't look like the Red River flooding will be as bad as last year, as of now anyway. I see you're based in Aberdeen. I should be flying thru that area in a couple of days. I'm an outcast as well but I get together with the MN guys from time to time. I will let the MN folks chime in on the local area.

Hey Cutter, yeah it seems like they've been trying to be pretty proctive this year from what ive seen around the area at least with the flood control. Where are you based out of? I've only been up here since Dec, but I havent seen too much helicopter traffic, just a lot of birds the last week.

Hello MN members. I am new to this completely and trying to get a feel for the industry in our region- much of the info on the site is coastal or Southern. (Understandable) So far I like most of what I see, talking to people is much like being at a car show. People with high interest in the same field- but in a friendly and professional manner, not like fans at a football game or something.

I'm new but have a chance to train with full V.A. funding- any opinions or advice? PMs are very welcome too- I'd love to get a feel of the industry from those in the know!

I'm in! Of course the weather had put a damper on my last 2 attempts at trying to get there, hopefully this year will be different.

As a side note: My Fiancee is now working at KMSP so I'm in and out of the cities area just about every week. If anyone wants to ever meet up and Hanger fly, or needs someone to share some seat time with I'm game! All I need is about a days notice and I can be down.

Hello everybody new to this forum and now live in Minnesota and would like to join in on the fun! I would be flying in to wherever you guys/gals decide. Guess I should ask if it is alright to bring fixed wing aircraft to the event. Would like to meet new people in the industry. I am a helicopter pilot too if that helps any.

Well our 4th annual meeting is approaching fast.

Thief River Falls MN is the current leading vote getter, now we need to nail down a date.

After reviewing the calendar it looks like Feb. 19th and the 26th are the best options.

please check your calendars and chime in on your best day for the fly in.

as always your suggestions and opinions are appreciated.

Either weekend will work for me. It looks like it's a 140 nautical mile flight from KHIB. Lets hope for good wx.
