Autorotator
I just got a post card in the mail from Chelton Flight Systems: Introducing Chelton HeliSAS Stability Augmentation and Autopilot System. Does anybody have experience with this new system? Does it work well? Seems like a far out idea for the R44. Looks like there is a video showing it in action that I am going to check out after I post this. If you are interested, here is the link. --CM
helonorth
Yeah, pretty far out for a R-44. Very expensive gadget unless they plan on approving the R-44for instruments. Probably buy a nice helicopter for what it will cost.
Autorotator
With further research, I have discovered that Chilton is hoping for this to be STC'd in March of 2008. As Helonorth mentioned, it looks like it is going to cost some pretty big coin as well. --CM
