Does anyone know what the minimum garage door opening width is to fit a schweizer 300. I have an 18 foot wide door and wondered if it would fit if you position and rotate the blades as you push it through the opening. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

well since the rotor blade length from mast to tip is 13.42 Ft that would give an over all diameter of 26.84 ft so the 18 ft door might be a bit on the snug side.

Since you don't need the full rotor diameter to fit through the door as you don't want to send it through the middle, just take the blade length, add half the fuselage width and make sure you have room on the wall with the door to fit the rotating blade and you should have your width. 18' might do it, but I don't know the fueslage width off the top of my head.

so blade length of 13.42' + 1/2 fuselage width 3.27' = 16.69, leaving not a whole lot BUT as long as you have room for the blades to rotate it's doable.

I've moved a 300C through an 18 foot door before. It is VERY tight, but with a little practice can be done easily. I would suggest making some soft foam blade protectors to guard against the inevitable bumps. Foam is much cheaper than rotor blades after all.
