TomPPL Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Hi All, Came across this more or less by accident - the price looks very cheap.http://www.sellmyaircraft.com/asales/aircr...re.php?page=356 What do you all reckon? Is this worth it for the price? Or would a Robbo 22 be about the same? Quote
rick1128 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Hi All, Came across this more or less by accident - the price looks very cheap.http://www.sellmyaircraft.com/asales/aircr...re.php?page=356 What do you all reckon? Is this worth it for the price? Or would a Robbo 22 be about the same? Actually it is quite a low price. But reading the ad carefully, I noticed a few things. First it is in Sweden. So you will have the expense of shipping it to the states, plus doing a C of A inspection and conformity on it. Also it will be expensive and difficult to do a pre-purchase inspection on it. The listed seller's address is in the US, but that may be in error. If it is the price may actually be in Euro or Swedish kroners. Plus the several 300's I have seen for sale out of Sweden had been used for reindeer herding. If it is anything like the Australian mustering and if what I have heard about Australian mustering is correct, then they have seen some hard use. Approach this one carefully. Quote
TomPPL Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 Thanks for the heads up - interesting to hear about the herding ops, I wouldn't have though of that one but I suppose machines used for that would have been hammered about a bit. I'm in the UK so location is not a problem £GBP has a great exchange rate against $USD at the moment so it's good for us limeys to pay in Dollars - however - as you mention the heli above may not be the best buy, thanks for your advice. Goldy Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Not saying its good or bad, just that this exact ship was for sale a year ago... Quote

Tom, I'm not sure what type of money they are quoting. It saids USD, but with it based in Sweden, I'm not sure about it. Also you will still have to do a C of A and conformity. It is worth looking at though. I would ask the seller to confirm the price and get a history and component times breakdown. And go from there. Quote

Jack Poller Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 pardon my ignorance, but what are flares and flare launchers used for? Quote
