Cheap Flts for low time Pilots

I have 1000 hrs to sell, starting in April/May. Pilots with a minimum status of private pilot are invited to buy time at $125 per hour. Great experience flts for any pilot flying cross-country, high altitude mountain, surveillience and some support missions. 95% of off airport work. Confined and pinacle landings a plenty.

Most flying will take place over Northern Washington State and Idaho. We will use a turbcharged Enstrom. Great transition ship between piston and turbine. Controls and start up are similar a turbine ship. Better time building than flying around the airport with your instructor.Great for log book and experience level. Flight training is also available at an additional rate.

If interested contact me via above e-mail with your flight status, amount of time you are interested in, and have your resume ready to send.We accept credit cards and work with Pilot Finance companies. Cash will be held in escrow and drawn down as you fly. We also offer 100% financing with easy payment plans. Only serious pilots need apply. Keep your message brief. E-mail is only 4mb? Thanks

Ok, what am I missing with this one?  Sounds like a few details are being left out.

If it is just time building, do you fly solo?  Can you take another pilot friend with you?

Just sounds to me like you're going to pay $125 an hour to ride along while he works. Could be wrong tho. I hope I am.

There are lots of operators offering "Cheap Turbine Time". They will sell you "time" (Usually $300 - $400/hr) in their 206, to ride along in the left seat while they do traffic reporting. I had a friend that tried it just to see what it was about, and he was not even allowed to touch the controls. The pilot was not a CFI, but my friend was told to "Just log the hours as if you were flying... nobody will ever know". They won't know until you're hired to fly a 206 and can't even get the thing started.

Sure hope thats not the case with this Gentleman.

For what it's worth, you're replying to a post that is over 20 months old. The operation, if it occurred, started in April of 2003, so taking issue with it now is more or less academic.

Also, "Bud" is not Heli-Ops ... it would appear that Neville posted that message on Bud's behalf.

LOL, guess I should have paid closer attention to the dates involved. Thanks for the heads up. ::rotorhead::

There are at least 3 people that I know that are doing this, 2 in LA and 1 on the east coast.

They all let you fly, what makes them let you take off, land, fly into confined areas, etc, is what you demonstrate to them.  When i got my private helo, I went and flew with them in LA. They let me do it all but I saw that a 206 is not a robbie.

After I got my CFI, I went again and by then I had a lot more experience and did everything a whole lot smoother and also learned more about turbine flying.

My last job (up to the end of this month) is flying EMS in Kansas, and from here I'll be moving on to Corporate very soon.
