Future206Pilot Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I was looking around on the net and i found this picture of a Mil Mi 26 lifting a Chinook... The proportions look pretty much like a Chinook lifting a 300. So I started thinking "I wonder how many people on VR have flown something this big...?" So the question is "What is the biggest helicopter you have flown??" Quote

Rob Lyman Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 (edited) I once hoisted a really fat guy from a Navy SH-60B. Edit: OK. OK...I'll keep to the subject... I have one flight in an MH-53E. It was a cool benefit of being the Mine Warfare Officer when I was on a battle group staff. I didn't get to pull a sled or anything cool. Just fly up and down the beach. Rob Lyman Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 PIC, SIC, or PAX??SIC, which is why we couldn't do anything like tow a sled, etc... I have lots of time as a pax. Another part of my job on the battle group staff involved working with the Marines, so I have lots of trips around Camp Pendleton in the back of a CH-53E. Quote
cavloh Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Im afraid he's right Looks like we have someone famous on here but since when do they have jobs for S92's in Kansas Should have said I am now retired..got caught in PHI strike, and after 33 years, quit....didnt like the attitude... Quote
Future206Pilot Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 SIC, which is why we couldn't do anything like tow a sled, etc...Is it really that dangerous to tow the sled in the Sea Dragon? Should have said I am now retired..got caught in PHI strike, and after 33 years, quit....didnt like the attitude...Well, it sounds like you had a good run... Are you still in the Heli industry? Quote
