rodrop
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting in "chat" once or twice a week to discuss predetermined topics for newbies? example; density altitude, aerodynamics etc
67november
there are several of us in the chat room serveral time a week, we discuss whatever is at hand at the time
bqmassey
Surely! If it works with my schedule I'd be happy to. there are several of us in the chat room serveral time a week, we discuss whatever is at hand at the time I don't think that answers his question. I am thinking a Wed or Thursday like after 7pm. I am definitely ok with just dropping in, my personal thoughts is if I schedule and commit to meet and have a goal in mind, it may help with study habits etc...It puts pressure (at least on me) to be responsible to research/read and try to learn something, so I can have a reasonable conversation and or ask questions. And, if it doesn't work, that's ok too...life is good PS..."her question" not "his question"
67november
PS..."her question" not "his question" jump in whenever your ready, and it's good to have another woman onboard.
helo08
I would definitely be interested in having a conversation on chat about helicopter study materials. Like mentioned a pre-determined time would probably help, but drop in and there is usually someone on later in the evening.

I'll have to check it out. Not sure about scheduled times as I have a fairly whacked out work schedule, but if you all setup times, I'll definitely participate if I'm not working. Good idea rodrop! SquirrelFlight
I hadn't noticed the "live chat" either.... but it won't let me on... is there something particular we need to do? It keeps saying I don't have permission to use it.

The one thing I heard is it actually works better (or works period) if you do not log in when you get into VR. Sort of like being a guest. I could be wrong, but that is how I got in a few times when I went. November67 probably knows best..I think he helped me once.

Weird. :-) Internet magic Well, it seems like one or two people might be willing to give study hall a chance. I am going to be in the room Wed around 7pm for an hour or so. Hope to see some people there, meet some people and learn one or two things. See you there. Thanks everyone.
PhotoFlyer
There is something wrong in the chat permission settings. The developers are looking into this, but we don't have a good idea of when it will be fixed. For now, if you can't log in using your account just sign out of the site and then enter chat. Should work then...
AngelFire_91
I wouldn't mind dropping in and throwing some words around, but ummmm, how about we use a standard of time. 7pm doesn't exactly work for everyone since we are all spread out across the country and world. So how about we use GMT.
BOATFIXERGUY
The CHAT works pretty good. You have to make sure that you leave the page open that it loads on. Just open up another window so you don't have any problems and search the forum or other web pages from there.

You would think I would have known that...being a wanna be pilot How about 2300 zulu time I am thinking that is 7pm eastern time
