Goldy
Check this out. I hope Lynn Tilton doesn't see her company's NOTAR design copied !! http://www.youngcopter.com/html/neo.html
FLHooker
Interesting... Not convinced I would trust a NOTAR to a kit... but then again, I'm not sure I trust T/R's anyway... HA! CHAD
1badz32
Wow, thats' sweet. It would be nice if there were a few more spec's on it.
FlyNHighNFast
I saw it yesterday, when I followed the article link off of my Vertical Magazine daily update. It will be interesting to see the final product and how it flies. Based on the design of the fuselage, I'm guessing some type of mini turbine will be the powerplant. I'm also thinking Mini 500 on steroids. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the cyclic is centrally located like Robinson's design. southernweyr
It looks pretty sharp, and it looked like a center cyclic to me too. The skids looked a little spindly to me but they probably work for a light helo like that. I would guess it weighs in around 800 lbs without fuel. I believe it is owned by Boeing.
relyon
Take a look at the PV Engineering Forum PV-1: http://www.piasecki.com/pv-11.htm. That's the earliest proposed design of a single rotor helicopter with no tail rotor I know of but perhaps there's an even earlier one.
