Maybe me. I'll let you know, I had to move my schedule around a lot this month due to the memorial services for my friends back in Long Beach. I still hope to make it. I may fly up and down the same day.

Heyyyy, that's close to me!

& it appears I'm not doing anything that day, so I'll probably go. Still waiting for my loan to get approved however :P. But still!

Goldy and the rest,

More than likely I will be heading down to San Carlos for the show.

Tayler, if you go send me a PM or email and maybe we can meet up, in fact anybody else give me a shout as well.

I won't be going this year...I love the show, it just isnt working out. My FW friend is busy, its a lil too long a flight to take the 44 up....cause I have to be home by 6....oh well..enjoy it without me !

Hey guys, I'll be there.

I'm obviously new to this forum but I do read it from time to time. I plan on going to vertical challenge this year, but I don't want to drag along any of my friends because I know air shows can be kind of corny at times. I want to take some good photos but would also love to talk to anyone involved in helicopter aviation as I plan to start a career sooner than later. I'm located in the east bay.

I'll be there for sure. I wanted to go to last year's VC *sooo badly* but I was all busted up from a bicycle crash in May and could not drive myself up there.

My main goal this year is getting some fantabulous photos of ships "in flight". I'll have my newish Nikon D40 and my friend's very spendy 70-200mm f2.8 Nikon lens, towards that effort.

A post on PPrune last year, with a bunch of awesome photos from the British Riverstone race's visiting helicopters, got me on this "photographer" jag. If I can do half as well I'll be happy.

I had hoped to link to that thread here, but it seems that the photographic content is gone. Sorry! But for reference, here is the thread link: http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.ph...ghlight=afcsoff

cheers,

I am still looking at going as long as I get somebody to cover an on-call shift for me. Should be there.....

Goldy, this is the second year you have bailed on me! What are we going to do about this LOL!

Dude, it was 115 in the valley today !!! Anyway, I have a party (for my captain) that I really want to go to at 6 pm......and my fixed wing contact couldnt make it.....and its just too long a flight in the 44, I would hardly have time to re-fuel and head back down. Would make one heck of a cross country though, I think its about 350 miles one way.

BTW- My son Patrick will be there. He is working only 10 minutes away on a two week project....his timing worked, mine didnt!

Sorry buddy !

Don't sweat it Goldy!!! But I can still give you a bad time about it though! Strap a JATO to that 44 of yours so you can make the trip quicker hehehe

What project is your kid up to?
