licoffey Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Hey all, Im new to this and very excited to get in the air. I was looking for a good headset and I liked what a couple headsets had to offer. I went to ebay to see if there were any there and I saw a pretty high end David Clark there for a great price. I havnt ever bought anything personal like a headset from there, but has anyone had any experience buying headsets from there? Besides the obvious, why shouldnt anyone buy a headset off ebay? Quote

Dont rush out and buy a headset...your school will let you borrow one for awhile. I am using the purchase of a good headset as a "treat' for meeting a goal. When I get my first solo done... treat time! There are tons of headsets out there, you have to decide to you want to buy one that will cost alot, thinking it will last you for forever...or are you going to be like most people, buy one...then later find a better one, then an even better one...and then you discover you spent more on headsets then lessons Quote
NorCalHeliKid Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 The new Lightspeed's are really cool. I personally own the DC 13-10? It works but it doesnt massage your brain like a Bose or Lightspeed. The good thing about buying a Bose on ebay is that even in the event that it does not work, you can send it back to Bose and they will fix it for you...sweet deal. Quote
