Signalsman Posted August 4, 2020 Report Posted August 4, 2020 I have an application with a desk mike with a PTT button that plugs into a radio transceiver using a UK NATO plug. I would like to know what the connections should be in this situation The wires I have are: mike high, mike low, PTT , ground. My concern is that if the set is on, then the unkeyed PTT line will be at 28 volts and I dont want that to connect to the mike insert when inserting or removing the plug. I'm thinking the PTT line needs to be on the tip so it is the last contact to be made when inserting and the first to be broken when removing the plug. There could be a proper standard for this application so please can anyone advise. Thanks in advance. Quote
