joncsim Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Does anyone know much about the professional pilot degree program at K-State Salina? I've heard they have a really good program for FW but I'm wanting to take the RW classes while getting my degree. I'm planning going there because my wife will be going to vet school nearby and the VA will cover all my costs with the CH 33 GI Bill. Quote
Shaun Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I checked out K state while looking for airplane schools. Seemed like a great place, small but not too small, everyone was very friendly. I didn't dig much deeper but it looked to be a perfect place to do training. And learning to fly in rural areas is nice. Quote
copter doctor Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I finished my commercial there last May ( Helicopter ). The instructors are high time pilots and the school seems to have a great staff. The only downside is that they only have one S-300 and if it is down for maintenance you aren't flying. The maintenance staff does usually get it back up as soon as possible though. You can PM me if I can help more. Quote
