I would of sworn I saw someone post this on this forum but couldn't find it.

 

If I recall correctly, when I was reading the post, it mentioned that it is not legal to profit from an experimental aircraft via charter/private flights... with the exception of the Hummingbird airframe from Vertical Aviation Technologies. Is that true and if so, why?

 

P.S. This is my first post for this forum, but I'm excited to be continually involved on this site. A LOT of good reads so far!

If it is experimantal amature built, you can not fly for hire or compensation. at least not in the U.S.

 

The Humming bird, uses some certifyed parts, but it is still kit built.
