JWagner92 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Hey guys, I wanna pick some of your brains. I'm 21, and thinking about enlisting to the Army. I have an interest in WOCS and my goal would be to pilot an AH-64. My question is, what are the physical requirements for flight school? I can't really find any topics relating to detailed requirements. As far as my health goes, the only medical issues I've ever had is an inguinal hernia which was repaired in 2011, and I may have another one on the opposite side, which would be repaired before entering the Army. In conjuction with that, I have horrible vision, but would have lasik done before entering the Army as well. Also, I've heard different scenarios as to which helicopters are available for your "choosing." I've heard that it depends on what your company typically pilots, and I've also heard that it is a competition among the class and the best of said classes reap the first pickings. Any and all tips or advice are welcome. If this isn't a path I'm able to do based on my past health issues, go ahead and tell me so, and save me the trouble! Thanks guys! Quote
