NYC/Long Island EMS Helicopter jobs?

So I went to school for EMT and am a written test away from being certified.

 

My plan was to apply for FDNY EMS and eventually get into Paramedic.

 

I will still try this, but I am curious - if i went to a aviation school for helicopters, is there alot of EMS chopper jobs in that area (NYC/Long Island)???

 

What do they typically pay and what is the schedule like?

 

ps.

I do not have a bachelors degree btw, just an associates degree in general studies.
