excelsior!! Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I am pretty new to the helicopter world and i am not as good at identifying helicopters by sight or sound as i am at fixed wing air-craft, i saw a pretty strange looking helicopter a few days ago,it was yellow and black and the strange part about is,between the main body of the aircraft and the rotors there was this tall, round section and it has an extremally LOUD engine! Can anyone identify this helicopter? Quote
AndrewT Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I'm thinking that you might have seen a turbin modified Rotorway 162. There are somepictures linked to one on these boards...check out these pictures http://members.aol.com/airkrft/justin_jetexec.htm Other then that, I was going to say that it was an OH-58, but the paint scheme would be all wrong Quote
jtravis1 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I am not aware of any black and yellow JecExec Rotorways. But try this link...It may help you identify the ship you saw: http://www.heli.com/resources/specs.html My guess might be a Aérospatiale Alouette (HAL CHEETAH) or Lama Quote
