Robinson 22/44 fuel tanks/system

Anyone have or know of anyone who has had a leaking/failure problem with Robinson 22 or 44 fuel tank or any part of fuel system? This includes ruptures, cracks, dislodging, etc. Any lead to fire.

 

Would like to learn particulars.

An improperly adjusted throttle corelator can cause a fair leak out the carb at low collective inputs. That's the worst I've personally ever seen.

I have seen a few develop leaks around the shut-off valve, a couple on one of the fittings and only one that leaked from the doubler where the fuel line exits bottom of the aux tank. None have ever led to a fire. I have also seen a couple leak out of the carb. thosed required new float valves and a new bulliten came out on a related issue. ( float issues on carbs )

Just with those crappy fuel sumps......BTW, you CAN buy the o-rings for those. Don't get stuck buying the whole assembly from RHC.
