barelyswimming Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Can anyone tell me what insurance costs and minimums are for the r22 if I hypothetically wanted to buy a 22 and give flight instruction in it? I'm thinking maybe Pathfinder and AIG are the main companies, any other ideas? As always you folks are a wealth of good information and I appreciate it. Barelyswimming. Quote
jehh Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Among other things, you would have to provide your flight times, and hull value of the helicopter. Quote

Jehh, I am assuming you mean you need the info before you can answer the question, right? If so, lets say the hull value is around 125k and my total time would be around 300 hrs. Quote
jehh Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 In that case, about $8,000 from Pathfinder, about twice that from AIG. That is a ballpark, Pathfinder quotes everyone seperately based on the aircraft and pilot name. Quote

Snowball-in-hell Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Pilot name? What's with that? Obviously, if you have a name like Usama, your insurance goes through the roof.... Quote
