Sparks Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Hey guys. There are a lot of different companys selling packs with different combinations and types of books. So what one would you recommend, or does it matter? I will be doing a FAA ppl then obtaining a JAA conversion, if that makes any difference to the reading. Quote
2rst1 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 For the FAA PPL, all you need is: Rotorcraft flying handbookFAR/AIM (regs.)PPL PTS (Practical test standards) Also recomended:Principals of helicopter flightThe Jeppesen weather bookThe Jeppesen "Helicopter Pilot Manual" When it comes to the JAA PPL, beats me..... (Sorry) Quote
coastie-heli-mech Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 What does JAA stand for and what does it allow you to do? Quote
brushfire21 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 JAA: Joint Aviation Authorities (http://www.jaa.nl/) I believe its Europe's version of the FAA. Other parts of the world may also require JAA certification other than Europe, someone chime in here.... Quote
