Hawk Driver Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Does anyone out there work for Rotorcraft Leasing? If so, could you give me a little info about the company and the hiring process. What is an average day like working for them, that sort of stuff. And how firm are they on 1000hr PIC. Any info will help. Thanks. Quote
bearintheair Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 No I don't, but I have kept an eye on them. Check out their web - it's pretty informative, but if your less than the "magic number pic" then contact ERA. They might look at you for SIC maybe, but don't count on it. Depends on customer demands, staff rotation etc, etc. If your in Iraq stay safe dude. Good luck.Does anyone out there work for Rotorcraft Leasing? Gomer Pylot Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 About all I can tell you about Jerry's Kids is that they've had a lot of accidents. They wouldn't be my first choice. Quote

flingwing206 Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 I've met some current RCL pilots, and work with some ex-RCL pilots. Based on their descriptions, RCL would not be at the top of my job-search list. For details, talk to them, not me. Quote
delorean Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 I know they don't require an instrument rating like everyone else......but that's it. Quote
Gomer Pylot Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 From the NTSB records, it appears to be some of both - pilot error and mechanical. I think I've found 8 accidents in the past 4 years, but it's hard to tell for sure, because of leasing arrangements. Quote
