I just recently moved from Tucson. Every time I went over to Voyager Helicopters, they were locked up and I got no answer on the phones, so I wrote them off.

The only other helicopter flight school is... dare I mention their name  ... Silver State. Their helicopters are buzzing around the Tucson airport all day long. Their constant presence was what finally drove me to quit my job and take up full-time training. I would watch them from the office window and sigh.... B)

I took some helicopter flight training when in Arizona, but I drove up to Quantum Helicopters in Chandler 3 days a week. They are first-rate and have a brand new building on the southeast end of the airport. I'd recommend them if that is an option.

You moving out to AZ, Chris?

I know of at least three people at Quantum that were former SS students in Tucson and choose to come up to Chandler. One is now a Quantum instructor.

Don't have a clue yet, but keeping options open. The "wife" received a full scholarship to get her doctorate at the U. of Arizona, though she has some local schools she is still waiting to hear back from. Figured I'd look into options out there. Quantum looks great, though seems like it will be a drive from Tucson. I'm trying to figure out if I should get my CFI in FL or wait till I move (if I do).

It's about 1.5 hours each way, depending where in Tucson you live. You could always move to someplace in the middle, Arizona City or Casa Grande for example, and each of you would have about 45 minutes or so of drive time. There are people that commute between the two metro areas, they are crazy, but they do exist. ;)
