I am desperately seeking R44 time in the portland oregon area! I will pay anything, I just need it now. Also I need to know if once you have your confirmation letter for the safety course in a 22 can you change it to fly in the 44?

any intel would be great.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a problem for you to get into the R44. It's the same exact class with the same people, it just costs $100 more. But if I were you I would call ASAP so it makes it easier on them and time to process the cost difference.

P.S. If you haven't got to do full downs yet, ask them to demonstrate. Zero airspeed autos are cool too. Maybe ask to do a zero airspeed full down?

Have fun and good luck, it's a great course with really knowlegable instructors. Tim Tucker is a good guy and Pat Cox is as sharp as a tack!

Yeah, just call the redhead cutie and she can make the change for you..however, the test pilots will tell you not to fly the R44 unless that is what you usually fly. In other words, fly the bird that you would normally fly so you can really learn the limits of that ship. Dont just try to get some cheap R44 times, cause you wont learn as much. I have flown with Simon and Doug in the past, what amazing pilots!

I just went last January, so if you have any ??? pm me...Goldy
