So I was looking around on Brian Hudson's pay scale charts and I've been wondering about the steps found under PHI's pay scale

How are the steps determined and how would one advance through them? Is it indicative of years of employment with the company or does it depend on the type of aircraft, i.e. Lights, mids and heavies?

Just thought someone could shed some light on this for me. Thanks!

Years of employment, until you become a medium PIC, then it goes to a different scale, but still goes by years of employment. As a medium SIC, you get an extra amount per month, used to be $300.

now it's a whopping $114 a month extra for medium SIC. if you could get experience elsewhere and then come into PHI as a contract pilot, you can easily make six figures a year. you'd be sans benefits and 401k. but geez... you could afford it on your own!
