Class 1 and 2 Medical

Hello, I'm a newbie here so thanks in advance for being patient with questions that may have been asked before.

 

I am about to begin my CFI training to become a professional/commercial pilot. I have had most of my questions answer by reading this great forum. However, I would like to know what a Class 1 and Class 2 Medical involve. What tests are done and how and in what types of jobs would each type be needed?
