sluggo Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I am thinking about going to American Helicopters for my PPL - CFII training and would like to hear any kind of feed back about them. Any information on Bristow would be appreciated also!!! Thanks in advance for your help!! Quote
Chi-town Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I know a couple of the instructors there. Good, knowledgeable people who care about your training. Looks like they have good rates. Enjoy Fresno! Quote
treasure.man.1 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I'm now based on the west coast and have stopped in to the school a few times. I've checked out their helicopters, which seem to be well taken care of. The instructors that I spoke to were helpful and knowledgeable and the students appeared happy with the training. One of them worked for Fresno Police department and said American does all of their helicopter training. I really cant say I saw anything that was of concern, A rare thing now a days. Quote

I did my discovery flight with the girl that works there (I forget her name) and liked the place. If I go there and get my Private, Com. CFI and instrument, will I have a good chance of getting a job there. My fear is getting my certifications, 200 hours and being broke with no job offers...like so many other students out there. Quote

If you're willing to move to where the work is, you shouldn't have a problem. Quote
