flying_eth Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Hi,I'm a fixed wing pilot flying in AK. I love fixed wing but would really like to get into helicopters. I'd like to do my training in AK if possible, anyone have any experience with alyeska helicopters? How does a fixed wing guy go about building hrs without paying for the 200 hrs or so they wanna see in helicopters? Cheers Quote
slick1537 Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I don't think there really is any other way. The 200 hours will only get you an instructing gig. You really need around 1000 hours to get a job flying helicopters commercially. Quote
