rotarywing43
Hello all, I'm a 19 y/o college kid finishing up his fixed wing PPL, considering military flying after school, specifically Army WOFT. I was just wondering if there were any XTPs in this community that could offer some insight about test flying: What your educational background is, what your military background is, and pretty much just how you did it and any advice you could tell a kid interested in test flying helicopters. I know it would be many years before I become (if I become) a test pilot, but I wanted to ask now because I'd like to be able to plan my education accordingly. I'm a physics major and was thinking a master's degree in aerospace engineering could help a lot down the road, when I have the 1,000+ hours RW flying time needed to apply to USNTPS. Anyway, hope to hear some responses and thanks in advance for the help.
