Rick McWilliams
We purchased the R22 from Specialized helicopters of Watsonville. They flew it very intensely for a couple of years. It will be getting easy service with Suie and I.
Inferno
They are a great outfit. I know a couple of their instructors and will be stopping by in a couple days. I'm sure they took great care of it before you. Enjoy! I wish I was able to get my own at this point in my life.
Rick McWilliams
Susies little red R22 is flying almost every day. We are building our flying skills. We have a groove from Santa Paula to Camarillo. You can see us working on precision hover maneuvers at the north helipad. We have owned the helicopter for two months and have accumulated about 40 hours. Our skills are improving. We are changing toward precision autorotations and are learning some more advanced maneuvers.
Goldy
are learning some more advanced maneuvers. Zero airspeed auto's? Those are kinda cool in an R22. Goldy
Rick McWilliams
Ag turns. There are at least 4 different styles. The smoothest is a wing over like maneuver that has coordinated rudder. Others are more scary snd involve a pedal turn at a high bank angle and low lift. One is a kind of turning quick stop. We are not practicing these solo yet. The autorotation target is getting smaller. We do autos with the instructor aboard. He might save us from an expensive rotor overspeed. Rick McWilliams
We flew our little red R22 to overhaul and another 200 hours. It has been so much fun that we want to share the adventures with friends and take the cat. We are looking for a nice R44. After we find the R44 we will be selling our pristine little red R22. I had serious helicopter withdrawals when our was rebuilt. No ground time this time around. Our next helicopter can be a R44 Raven 1 or Raven 2. We are looking for a mid time ship with more than 6 years remaining and more than 1000 hours remaining. We are based in Santa Paula so it would be nice if it is located in western US. A 12 year rebuilt well cared for helicopter is also considered. Your help finding our next Helicopter is most welcome.Rick & Suzie

Rick McWilliams
Susie and I found our next Helicopter. It is a white R44 Raven II. We may have to call ourselves "plain Vanilla Helicopter" instead of "Little Red Helicopter" Our little red helicopter, N694DC is now for sale. It is in excellent condition with 2000 hours remaining and 9 years remaining. We would like to sell to a private owner rather than see her go into flying school duty.
