wopilot Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Has to be the angle because if you look at the last frame, the surf board is above the rotor plane. Quote
yzchopper Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Depth perception.... aint it great. Well it might be the angle too. To me the helicopter was about 10-20ft away from the surfer and the wave. Steve Quote
Wally Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Hard to judge depth from a telephoto, at least by relative sizes. He was further away than it looks. Quote
Cruzin Chris Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) Man, this thread was made for me. As a career helicopter pilot, life long surfer and photographer, mostly surfing – I can say that telephoto lenses (max zoom), in the case of this video from shore, makes objects look closer than they are. Here is a perfect example… Telephoto (max zoom)... tailrotor hanging off the edge of the building: View from oposite side with no zoom shows the tail wasnt' really hanging over the edge: Photography is fun Edited January 25, 2010 by Cruzin Chris Quote

carlcan Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) In addition, the angles of the blades can be adjusted individually. This controls the helicopter’s horizontal movement, including forward, backward, left, and right. Edited June 27, 2010 by 67november for content Quote
