copterboy
On February 4, 2004 an EC-120B s/n 1009 built in 1998 registered in Switzerland suffered a rupture of the right collective pitch lever while on the ground. The lever broke around a small crack around the base. The Manufacturer has not deemed necessary to provided any alert bulletin until now and this seems rather strange for such an important piece of equipment like the flight controls. java script:emoticon('???')Has anyone had, or does anyone now of a similar failure or crack on the EC-120B collective lever?I hardly recommend any Colibri operator to check the collective pitch lever for cracks around the base. (And maybe to ask Eurocopter for answers to a rather embarrassing question...). pictures available on request
