AW139Driver Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 Hmmm, I would be real interested to know what you think of that 139 vs. the good ol 412.Good luck on your search... Thank you. Well, lol, I went from spending 3 years in the 139 to jumping into the 412, so presently I prefer the 139, although my 412 time is, let's say, somewhat limited at present. So I may be biased. I would prefer to answer that question once I have accumulated double digit hours in it lol. I do find the 139 more comfortable, especially with the upgraded seats in, and due to me been tall! I can say that a few of my fellow dual rated pilots prefer the 412, especially in the offshore role. Quote
Goldy Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 It bothers me that we spend $12M for a new 139 and we can't even fit one victim in the back on a guerney without turning them at an angle. Basically impossible to put two victims in the back and work on them. Not sure what is up with that rear floor area that can't take any load. Anyway, its a beaurtiful ship, and its cool to have a camera looking at your main rotor....but it just doesnt seem to have the mission ready capabilities of the 412. I guess if you're just using it as a seat to an oil platform, its real comfy. Quote
