dualrated19
Quick question- Does anyone have experience with the ATP rotorcraft add-on written? Its been a while since I've taken any written exam... I bought the test prep software from Dauntless instead of buying the good ol' gleim. While the software seems like a good product the only thing is that I haven't found out how many questions are on the test and the variety of the questions... and the local flight school didn't even know there was a test for an ATP add on. Any input is appreciated.

Any input is appreciated. I did the ATP add-on last year and the written in 2009. I don't exactly, but I believe it is between 20 and 30 questions. A lot of them are airplane questions. You will have a few questions on weight and balance and regulation. And there will be a flight planning problem. I used the ASA software and was quite happy with it. The ATP add-on is the only add-on pilot rating that requires a written exam. So if the school hasn't done any, they would quite likely not know.
