I am also trying to find out what are the rules about landing on company grounds or even on our headquarters. We are thinking about buying a AS 350 B3 and want to know pro cons on the helicopter. The use will be Filming and VIP transport. There are about 4 remotely controlled movable helicopter platforms out there. You can land on one, shut down, then using the remote, drive straight into the hangar without ever getting out of the helicopter. Pretty neat. Landing rules usually require a heliport be properly certified, but that all depends on your location, local rules, etc. If you own 5000 acres and are landing in the middle of it, you probably wont generate a lot of complaints. Landing in the center of the city is a different animal. If you are in the US, and want to go forward with an FAA approved helipad or helistop, I know the best helipad attorney out there. Plan to spend some money. As far as the B3, it's an awesome helicopter. If you dont need the high altitude capability the B2 is a very capable ship as well.
