Flying in Alaska

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Hoping to move up to southeast Alaska next year. I don't have any mountain time, so I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to do a course. In a perfect world, with loads of cash, it would be an easy answer. But I just wonder if the pre-season tour training (with a company like Temsco) is enough for a first season flying there? Or indeed, would applicants be preferred with a mountain course?

Thanks for your help.
