edspilot Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Wow! I would guess the over-weight issue would be the least of the worries. How about having to sleep in this helicopter? http://www.gi.alaska.edu/AlaskaScienceForum/article/scientists-endure-nights-mountaintop-perch edspilot 2 Quote
aeroscout Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 It would have sucked to have been frozen solid stuck inside a blanket of ice. Quote
Eric Hunt Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 It isn't easy to sleep overnight in a B206 in winter, I tried it back in 85, two of us trying to stay warm in the back seat without sleeping bags, just leather jackets. Got woken from fitful sleep about 4am when the machine started rocking - a flock of sheep had gathered and were giving us a good shove. Also have a photo of our 206 stuck in a blizzard on a snowfield for 3 days but doesn't look anything like those pics - man, what a storm it must have been! Quote
