Bell 407 Fuel Drain Access

Hello Gurus:

I am designing a pod to be attached under the belly of an bell 407. However, one of the two fuel drains will be partially blocked by the pod. There are about 3 inches between the belly and the cover of the pod, and I can leave more space there if it helps with the access to the fuel drain.

My questions are:

1, How frequent/or when the fuel draining operation is performed?

2, How much space I need to leave between belly and the cover of the pod in order to ensure the easy access of the fuel drain.
