IOM_Heli
Hi Everyone, I wonder if you can help . We operate a helicopter from on board a yacht and we have been asked to look at the possibility of the boss using his helicopter when the yacht is based in Russia (St Petersburg). Does anyone have any sort of experience with using or gaining permission to use a foreign registered helicopter in Russia. We are looking to make initial contact with someone but are struggling to find anyone that can help with this sort of thing? Joe_P148
Have you ever been on the PPRuNe forums? They have a big international community that might be able to help. I did a bunch of research on MI helicopters on those forums with good results.

BH206L3
I would think the Russian Embassy would be able to tell you what you need to do! Its Russia and they march to a very different drum beat!
Grek
Hi guys. I just from St. Petersburg. Forgive me bad English. I think that it is very difficult. Special permission from the Russian AA will be necessary. Here site http://szfavt.ru/ ofNorthwest Steering of Rosaviatsia. As you can see - only in Russian. A few years ago there was the same question. Then the solution is proposed - re-register the helicopter in Russia, employ the Russian crew, approve in AA the instruction for flights from the concrete yacht. Perhaps since then something changed. If it is necessary we can shelter you on our base. Best regards from Russia Mikhail
