smithers911 Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 Hello to you all. Its been enjoyable watching some of the posts from the sidelines for a few months now, but the time has come to join up. By way of introduction I am a PPL holder based in the UK, with ratings on R44 and R66 (I know, them's the breaks...), slowly building hours. I'm up to about 250hrs now. As a result of the amount of miles some of the guys at our Company are driving, we decided to purchase our own R66 (Insert Crapinson Flimsicopter jokes here...) for the Company. We have just made an offer to a pilot for a full-time salaried position with us, and I wondered if any of you might have a generic job description for a Company pilot that you'd be prepared to share with me? He will be responsible obviously for flying the machine, but also for all aspects of the service and maintenance, purchase and testing of fuel, keeping it clean, ensuring compliance with all laws etc etc. I'd be really grateful if any of you could help. Good to meet you Smithy 1 Quote
Pohi Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 Sounds like you are looking for a pilot/mechanic. Kinda like this.... http://www.jsfirm.com/Job/Pilot-Fixed+Wing/Oil+Spill+Response+Pilot/A+P/Salisbury+or+Puerto+Rico-Maryland/jobID_178873 Quote
smithers911 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Report Posted January 30, 2016 Thanks a lot Pohi, Good start to work with. We've actually given the job to the fellow that trained me, and his time will be 50:50 between heli stuff and non flying jobs. It's good to set out what's involved so that everyone knows what's expected. Am hoping to start training for commercial license later in the year. Thanks for your help 1 Quote
