T Hardy
Does anyone know of a state accepting age waivers for Army Guard/Reserves? I’m told by recruiter no age waiver for street to seat. Im very interested in street to seat WO. I graduate in the spring with a bachelors in Professional Aviation from Liberty U., finishing up my PPL now, also getting my IFR, CFI, CFII, Multi-engine which should all be completed by end of spring as well. kow10120
It’s possible, you might have to shop around for a unit willing to do the leg work for the waiver though. When I was in common core I had a 40 year old Guard guy in my class. He said he had reached out to a significant number of states before he found one willing to work with him. He flew for a regional airline so that definitely helped him out. I think those aviation credentials you listed will help your case. I think the Warrant Officer Strength Managers (WOSMs) for the states you’re interested in will be who you want to reach out to (https://nationalguard.com/contacts/wosm).
