I have read on a number of job resumes and job opportunities that the LBS will be given. I am 6 ft, and 220 lbs. Is that an issue when it comes to training in R22/R44, schweizer, and any other career paths??

Any information would be appreciated..

It would only be an issue in the R22. The R44 and Schweitzer both have enough power for somebody of your stature. You could still fly the R22, but your instructor, and fuel, could be weight limited.

I'm 6'2" and about 215.

Was just barely able to fit in the R22 with my helmet on, but still comfortable. But like PF said, we were limited to about an hours worth of juice when the instructor was with me. Going solo was fine, could top up both tanks to the brim.

CG is an issue in the R22 as well, especially as the tanks get empty. When I did my PP checkride I was 195 and the DE was 205. The CG near fuel exhaustion was within about 1/4" of the max forward CG.

PA- when that happens, just lean way back in your seat and you'll get that extra bit of aft CG you need to hover !
