Etouffee Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Just incase anyone is intrested here is an article about PHI and its Pilots Union. I know Air Log went though about the same situation about a year ago and avoided a strike. Sounds like a tough situation for both sides. PHI Pilots may strike! Quote
Guest rookie101 Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 http://www.theadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll...NEWS01/60814012 I am surprised this thread didn't get any reactions, interesting. Quote
ADRidge Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I wonder how many flights aren't being made now that the pilots have decided to strike? Quote
Gomer Pylot Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 A lot. The exact number depends on who you believe, but it's obvious that the medium and heavy activity is greatly reduced. They're mostly tied down on the ramps. Quote
ADRidge Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I don't suppose BP, Shell and others are going to sit around and wait for PHI to get this resolved. Are contracts going elsewhere yet? Quote
Gomer Pylot Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 There is nowhere else for them to go. All the other operators are struggling to keep up with the work they have, and there are no spare helicopters nor pilots available. The Shell, Exxon, and BP contracts are so large there aren't enough helicopters available in the US to cover all of it. Quote
