How to go about it?

Hi All,

 

I just have a few questions on the best way to go about submitting a flight packet for the Army.

 

I am currently IRR, I have 4.5 years of active service and I want to go back in as an aviator. I spoke to a recruiter who told me that it would be easier for me to attach myself to a reserve unit and submit the packet since it eliminates quite a few requirements. The only thing I am concerned about is getting deployed while waiting for a response. Been there, done that and although I am pretty sure it will happen eventually, right now would be reallllllly inconvenient. I am trying to make the board for November.

 

Any thoughts on how to go about it?

 

Also, what is the best way to prepare for the AFAST?

 

Any advice is welcome.
