what does a seismic pilot do?

Works with people mainly looking for oil. It's mostly longline work, using smaller single engine helicopters.

They carry seismic sensors on a longline and drop them in designated locations. Usually they have a carosel hook that is capable of loading 4 to 12 sensors and releasing them independently. These sensors are used in the search for oil and gas.
