sactown77 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 And?Not quite sure. I used to write press releases for a company. Us Public Relations guys had a reputation of advertising in a journalistic style. I was just reminiscing. Quote
Whirlwind Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I don't mind announcements of new flight shools as long as it's limited to the announcement.I think repeated attempts to milk it for free advertising is inappropriate (ie. "come fly with us") <_> Quote
jet trash Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I don't mind announcements of new flight shools as long as it's limited to the announcement.I think repeated attempts to milk it for free advertising is inappropriate (ie. "come fly with us") <_> exactly! i own a flight school, and i think it's entirely inappropriate to use a forum such as this for free advertising such as "press releases", or "here's my idea of a flight school" or "what do you think of my logo", etc, etc. if it were a true "press release", the proper way to handle it is to submit it to the webmaster and let him place it in the appropriate location. but this is just my opinion.
