Daniel Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I'm considering becoming a helicopter pilot and am wondering how much opportunity I would have to work in other (non-US) countries, particularly the third world. It seems like it'd either be a situation where pilots are badly needed but none of the good ones want to work in the bush, or there are so many expats that a lot of them spend a lot of time unemployed. Does anyone know which it is? Thanks. Quote

Gomer Pylot Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 You have to be certificated in each country in which you fly. The requirements are different for each country. Some may let you fly on your FAA certificate, most won't. It can be expensive to get a certificate in many countries. Quote
