fireflier11
Quick question from someone looking into helicopter schools. I have a degree from a 4 year university in Aerospace (Professional Pilot) with 300 hrs. fixed wing. I also am close to a degree in Fire Science. I was wondering do any companies lessen the 1000 hr. requirement if you have a college degree? All help grealty appreciated.

And I am willing to bet that it will make no difference. First off they are looking for experience, on the job experience. And secondly I believe that the 1000hrs is more of an insurance requierment. So you would have to have 1000 just to be covered.

Gomer Pylot
Actually, they (secretly) prefer that you don't have a degree. You're more likely to quit, or to refuse to accept the rather rigid rules they have in place.
