Fidelis Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 This question (or one similar) may have been asked and answered previously but I am relatively new to the forum so please forgive me for anything already covered. I am a new CFI (210 hrs R-22/R-44) and have an interest in the Army's WOFT program. I have been speaking to a recruiter for the last couple of days but would like some real input on the good, the bad, and the ugly concerning the training, future assignments, deployments, and general life as an Army aviator. About me:4 years honorable service enlisted (E-4) USMC 1995-1999Steller ASVAB with GT 12630 years old (I believe the cut-off is 33) and in excellent physical conditionMarried without children (yet)1999-2006 full time police officer prior to training as a helicopter pilotRotorcraft private (2006)Commercial (May 2007)CFI (August 2007) Any information or advice on either the process, training, or future expectations is greatly appreciated. I understand the deployments and I have a warrior mentality but I think my biggest obstacle would be my wife (though she is very supportive) so family impact is also of interest. Public or private replies to fidelis@netscape.com are appreciated. Quote
