dingdel Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I recently found out about this company that designed a R22 flight sim that they will deliver to your home for a weekly or monthly fee. It is Microsoft Flight Sim software with a seat, cyclic and collective that mimics the R22! It has a large lcd screen and really looks like the interior of the R22. The company states that this is not designed to replace any training, but to make you more comfortable with the controls and they say it decreases the time it takes to learn how to hover. I found out about this from a friend of a friend who is involved in the company. I will try to get some more info, and pic of the pod. They expect to be starting service early 2008 in the NJ, NY, PA. I just wanted to post this info because I was unable to maintain my training due to lack of funds, this may allow me to keep on it until I am more financially able to continue flight training. Quote
