Hastew Posted January 29, 2008 Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 We currently operate 2 205's that have been converted to "Super Huey's" and a Bell 212. We use them for SAR, EMS, firefighting and troop transport in a high and hot environment. We were recently tasked with coming up with a proposal to replace the fleet and are just beginning the process. Some in the research committee are looking hard at the Bell 412EP. In doing some research on the internet, I haven't been able to find too many operators out there using the 412 for high and hot operations. We've been extremely happy with the performance of the 205's and most prefer it over the 212. We're looking for something comparable to the 205....something like the Bell 210 but I've heard they are not making them anymore.
