Voyager11 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) For those of you using ASA Prepware 7 for instrument rating, there are a lot of wrong answers and figures that do not match the questions. I have reported these problems countless times to ASA but I have not had a single reply. ASA prepware 8 is out and I have not had the chance to look at it. So be careful and if you answer a question that you think is right and it comes up wrong look it up and do not just trust the software. I'm doing the CFII part of prepware 7 and will post any problems I find. Edited February 3, 2008 by Voyager11 Quote
heligirl03 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I just used version 8. I found 1 wrong answer that drove me nuts (an HSI comparison) and thought I couldn't match a few figures. But I did fine, 97. So it couldn't have been that bad! Hopefully better than 7... BOATFIXERGUY Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I just used version 10.1 I have the king version also, but it is a year old so I wanted an up-to-date disc without paying for an upgrade from king. I only found one question wrong so far on airspace. Beside that it's ok. I do like the king version better 'cause you get that cool "Ding" when you get the correct answer. I've flown commercially now for 7 years without an instrument rating....times have changed, as nearly all employers require one now. Since I've closed my operation down due to the economy, and retired from the DPD, its time to let someone else pay for my flying. I may be asking some of you for instrument advice... john Quote
